Who manufactures BRC mesh in Kenya?
BRC mesh is made in Kenya by several steel manufacturers. Shujaa Steel EA Manufacturers is one of them: we manufacture BRC reinforcement mesh on our own machines at our factory in Grain Belt Business Park, Ruiru, and deliver to major towns across Kenya.

What BRC mesh does Shujaa Steel make?
We make BRC in rolls, not flat sheets. Every standard roll is 48 metres long and 2.1 metres wide, with a 200mm x 200mm square mesh. Custom sizes are available on order.

A66 is the market name for our 3.5mm mesh. Prices as of September 2026. Hardware stores and contractors get wholesale pricing: call for a quote.
Why rolls instead of 6m sheets?
One 48m roll covers about 100 square metres, the same as about seven standard 6m x 2.4m sheets. Rolls mean fewer overlaps, less wastage at the cut, and easier loading on a pickup.
Which grade should I use?
- A66 (3.5mm): light slabs, paths, and driveways for cars.
- A98 (5mm): standard house slabs and most residential ground floors.
- A142 (6mm): heavier slabs, suspended floors, commercial floors, and yards with truck traffic.
Your structural engineer's drawings override this guide. Always build to the grade specified.
